The AI tutor and AI marking read and write text in small pieces called tokens. A token is roughly three-quarters of a word. One question to the tutor, with its reply and safety checks, uses about 2,500 tokens; marking a written answer usually uses fewer.
Premium includes 100,000 tokens each month - about 40 questions to the tutor, or more if some are marked answers. Your dashboard shows roughly how many questions you have left. The allowance resets every month, and unused tokens don't carry over. If you run out, AI features pause until the reset date; everything else keeps working.
